Hi,

I am doing a research project in sound technology on the following topic.

I am interested in building an algorithm that can take a large sound file as input, and segregate and parse various words (human spoken format) in that file. These words, along with their position in the sound file may then be indexed. A search engine crawler can then use these indexed bookmarks against a search performed for the corresponding text and produce the sound files having a match of those words as results.

Please suggest the feasibility of such an algorithm and suggest how to go about it. Give some pointers.

Sounds gud....may be u could break down ur project n proceed with each module to make it simpler....

Look out for voice to text convertion programs and optimise them for you to start with. Check if these Algorithms for Speech Recognition and Language Processing helps
